抄録
大学院教育は，異なる学問分野を横断しながら学ぶことを通して，知識を統合し，新たな価値を創造する場として，その重要性がますます高まっている．本稿では，大阪大学で展開されている「知のジムナスティックスプログラム」を対象に，学際的教育がもたらす学習効果を評価することを目的としている．本プログラムは，多様な視点を育み，トランスファラブルスキルの習得を促進する実践的な教育の機会を提供している．本研究では，プログラムに関連する質的データを分析し，学際的教育が学生にどのような影響を与えるのかを考察する．結果として，受講生は異分野の知識を融合し，実社会における問題解決能力を向上させていることが示された．また，社会的文脈における研究の意義を深く理解し，多様な視点から問題にアプローチする能力も強化されていることが確認された．これらの分析結果から，本プログラムは，学問の発展のみならず大学院生のキャリア形成に大きな影響を与え，博士人材が社会で活躍するために重要な貢献をしていることが示唆された．
This study aims to evaluate the learning outcomes of the University of Osaka’s “Intellectual Gymnastics Programs,” an interdisciplinary graduate education initiative. As higher education increasingly requires the integration of knowledge through learning across disciplines, the program fosters not only specialized expertise but also transferable skills essential for addressing complex global challenges. Through an analysis of qualitative data which is related to the program, this study assesses how the program enhances students’ abilities to synthesize diverse knowledge, collaborate across fields, and apply their learning to real-world problem-solving. The findings reveal that participants gained broader perspectives by engaging with multiple academic disciplines, leading to innovative research approaches. Students also reported an improved capacity to align their research with societal needs, which is crucial for addressing issues that span various sectors. The program’s structure, which allows for flexible course selection across graduate schools, enables students to tailor their education to their research goals while fostering leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. These competencies not only enhance their academic pursuits but also prepare them for diverse career opportunities in both academia and industry. In conclusion, “Intellectual Gymnastics Programs” plays a pivotal role in developing well-rounded doctoral professionals equipped to contribute to both academic advancements and societal innovation, ensuring they become leaders capable of navigating the interdisciplinary demands of the future.
