Abstract
日本国内の地域や学校で実施されている母語・継承語教育の現状と課題について、親と教師の母語・継承語に関する意識、母語教室の実施状況、母語教室で学ぶ子ども達の言語発達の実態という三っの角度から整理を試みた。その結果、母語・継承語教育に対する認識には一定の広がりが見られ、地域の活動家や学校、保護者の有志によって母語教室が支えられていることがわかった。また、制度的基盤の整備、専門家の育成、学習一教授デザインの検討、少数派コミュニティの参与といった課題が浮かび上がってきた。
