Abstract
Today, CAMPUS Asia Pilot Program has progressed toward the establishment of a transnational framework of higher education quality assurance in Japan, China, and South Korea. This paper, through our visits to various evaluation institutes and universities, examines the possibility for the construction of higher educational interchange systems among the three countries. In these visits, one team observed the systems in Shanghai Education Evaluation Institute, Tongji University, and Shanghai Jianqiao University in China, while the other team did so in Korean University Accreditation Institute, Sungkyunkwan University, and Yonsei University in South Korea. Through these observations, this paper aimed at clarifying the relationships among “internal quality assurance,”“external quality assurance,”and“learning outcomes assessment systems.”
