Abstract
日本語学習において漢字となじみのない非漢字圏出身の学習者が継続的に漢字を学習するかどうかには、動機づけが大きな役割を果たしていると考えられる。本稿では、ライフストーリー・インタビューの手法を用い、L2 Motivational Self System (L2 MSS) の観点から、4人の非漢字圏日本語学習者における漢字学習に対する動機づけについて検討した。その結果、「理想L2自己」「義務L2自己」「L2学習経験」というL2 MSSの3要素の他、本稿で新しく設定した「社会的要因」も学習者の漢字学習への動機づけに影響があることが確認できた。また、これらの4要素はここに独立して機能するのではなく、要因間でも相互に影響を与え合う部分があることが明らかになった。
