Abstract	Osaka University has conducted a survey on the fall semester entrance at overseas universities. The objective of this survey is to increase the number of international students, returning from abroad, as well as to facilitate international cooperation between Osaka university and foreign universities. The survey team visited two Korean, three Chinese, and two Taiwanese universities for this purpose. Focusing on education-related issues regarding the fall semester entrance, we interviewed the representative authorities of the following universities: Dalian Science and Engineering University, Canton University, National Taiwan University, and National Politics University. The survey shows that the inclination among students from the above four universities to study abroad seems generally to be greater than that among the students from Japanese universities. However, those students face more economic and language problems than the entrance process itself.
