Abstract
16世紀後半あるいは17世紀前半に南インドのムスリム王朝においてダッキニー・ウルドゥー語を用いて書かれた歌詞集成の言語を分析する。アラビア文字で表記されるのにもかかわらず、そこに含まれるアラブ・ペルシア語彙は少ない。言語面でも内容面でもむしろヒンドゥー的色彩が濃い。つまり当時ムスリムの私生活においては南アジア土着の言語文化が行われていた。
This short paper tries to characterize Arabo-Persian elements in the anthology of songs, Kitāb-i Nauras ("The Book of Nine Flavors") written in the Dakkhinī Urdū language. This book is attributed to Ibrahim Adil Shah II (1580-1627 CE), Sultan of Bijapur. In spite of the fact that this anthology is written in Arabic script, the songs actually shows a considerably small amount of Arabo-Persian vocabulary items, and rather resemble Hindu lyrics in Braj Bhāṣā in both contents and language. Even though the Sultan is supposed to be a protector of Islam, no qualms are apparently felt about praising Hindu deities in these songs. Grammatical analysis suggests that the songs are divided into two different dialects, which seem to reflect different sociological or geographical origins. Through these analyses, I would like to point out that this anthology is based on a strong pan-South-Asian cultural substratum.
