Abstract
本稿の目的は、1990 年以降の日本におけるマスジドの増加理由を明らかにするところにある。本稿ではマスジド内部の視点から、その理由を追求した。そのために筆者は、茨木マスジドにおいてインタビュー調査と参与観察を行った。その結果、日本におけるマスジドの増加の背景には、「イスラム・アイデンティティの維持」という要因があることが明らかになった。
The purpose of this study is to identify the reasons behind the increase in thenumber of mosques in Japan since 1990. This study focuses on the internal point ofview, to determine the reason of this increasing. Interview and participant observationwere conducted at Ibaraki mosque. The result shows that maintenance of the IslamicIdentity is the most powerful factor behind the increasing of mosques in Japan.
