A study has been conducted to compare and contrast the results of sports tests that were carried out to 87 male 170 female students in 1990 and 67 male and 127 female students in 1999. The following results have been obtained: 1) With regard to the comparison of physique and physical function between 1990 and 1999, it was found that there was a significant difference about the mean values of steps-tests by male and female students, those of side steps by male and female students, and the mean values of the total scores (e.g. the five-point scale measure of each item of measurements) of female students. This comparison revealed that while the mean values of side steps by male and female students and the total scores of female students declined, the mean values of steps-tests by male and female students improved. 2) According to the overall sccores that were the mean values of the total scores, it was shown that 60 to 70 per cent of male and female students of both years in question were categorised into 'aging'. 3) It was observed that grips strength was the 'weakest' in the five-pount scale measure for both male and female : the weakest represented 34.3 per cent of male students and 42.6 per cent of female students in 1999. 4) As regards obesity in terms of body fat(%Fat), it was found that many male and female students belong to 'lean (e.g. less than 15% in male students and 25% in female)' representing 74.6 per cent of male students and 68.5 per cent of female. On the other hand, while about 12 per cent of either male or female students belong to 'obese' no male students were found to be 'masked obesity' but so were 53.3 per cent of female students. 5) In evaluating the correlation among each item of measurements to all objects, it was found that there were many statistically significant correlation coefficients to male and female students. which implies that each item of measurements was influenced each other. In particular, it observed that while there was positive significant relation between weight on the one hand and body fat and grips strength on the other hand for both male and female students, there was a negative significant relation between weight and steps-tests. 6) In comparing and contrasting the results of physique and physical function to the same objects between the year and a year later, there was no considerable change in each item of measurements to male and female students.
