Abstract	人は継時的な意味を含めて複層的な対人関係を多くの媒体を持ちながら展開している。そして、心的メッセージを社会的規範や文化的事実を反映したコミュニケーション行為として理解するよう試みている。非言語的コミュニケーション研究は身体部位に由来するチャネルとしての用法の理解から相互の関連性を理解する機能的統合へと進展してきた。対人コミュニケーションは、個人間の社会的交換による強化的行動の連鎖として、および個人を統合する単位である対人関係を指向する認知的均衡への過程として考えられ。均衡状態は必ずしも最終的な定常ではなく不断にさらなる安定した段階を目指す。また、個人内均衡と対人的均衡の合理的関係についての検討をさらに要する。この均衡の二重性とともに、いくつもの非言語的チャネルで同調傾向の存在が確認されていることは、「社会性」を考える上で重要な構造的、要素的アプローチの議論をさらに喚起するものであろう。
Abstract	The interpersonalrelationshipsare developed by meansofvarious media in social context including temporal sequence. Communicative acts convey psychologicalmessages derived from socialnormandcultural products. The domain ofcommunicative studiesareenlarged from theusageofnonverbal channels revealing body-parts to the understandingfunctional integrationof multiple channels. Interpersonalcommunication is consideredasthetemporal sequenceofsocialexchangesbetween personsandis regarded as theprocess of developingthe balanced interpersonalrelationshipsof bondingpersonseach other. Thebalanced state is notultimately stable, but, isbecoming to getstill more stable. It isnecessary to study the rationalrelationshipsbetween the intrapersonalbalance and theinterpersonal balance. The dual-stage of interpersonalbalance andtheevidencesofsynchronytendencyin many nonverbalchannelsshouldevokethecontroversy betweenthestructuralapproachandthecom- ponent approach considering social meaning of communication.
