Abstract
大学教育の内部質保証は，教育の質を維持・向上させるための不可欠なプロセスであるが，コロナ禍という特殊な状況下において，これまでの質保証の枠組みが十分に機能していたのかには疑問が残る．本研究は，大阪大学の大学院生の学習経験の変化を分析し，内部質保証の視点から，大阪大学大学院教育の質がコロナ禍前後において適切に質保証されていたかを考察することを目的とする．本研究では，2019年，2021年，および2023年に実施された大学院生を対象とした国際学生調査（GradSERU）のデータを使用し，大学院生の学習経験の経年変化を分析した．分析の結果，大学院生の学習経験に対する満足度は2018年度から2022年度にかけて段階的に向上していることが明らかになった．これは，コロナ禍にもかかわらず，大阪大学における大学院教育の質が保証されていることを示している．また，理系の大学院生は2020年度に多くのカリキュラム関連の阻害要因に直面していた一方，2022年度の文系大学院生が直面していたカリキュラム関連の阻害要因は比較的少なかったことが分かった．本研究は，今後の教育施策において，学生の多様な背景に応じた支援の重要性を浮き彫りにしている．
Internal quality assurance in higher education is an essential process for maintaining and improving the quality of education. However, under the exceptional circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, there remain questions about whether the existing quality assurance framework has functioned adequately. This study aims to analyze changes in the learning experiences of graduate students at The University of Osaka and examine, from the perspective of internal quality assurance, whether the graduate students’ experiences have been appropriately assured before and after the pandemic. This study uses data from the international student survey targeting graduate students (GradSERU) conducted in 2019, 2021, and 2023 to analyze the longitudinal changes in graduate students’ learning experiences. The analysis revealed that graduate students’ satisfaction with their learning experiences gradually increased from the 2018 to 2022 academic year, indicating that the quality assurance of graduate students’ learning experiences at this university has been achieved despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the data analysis further suggests that graduate students from sciences and engineering faced more curriculum-related barriers in 2020, while graduate students in humanities and social sciences in 2022 faced relatively fewer curriculum-related barriers. This study highlights the importance of providing support tailored to students with diverse backgrounds in future educational policies.
