These educational materials were developed as a basic introduction to research data management and include explanations of domestic and international trends in open science and research data management. They also introduce a representative research data infrastructure for research data ecosystems, as well as initiatives for data management that utilize such infrastructures.The topics covered are as follows:

Among the downloadable content, the PPT file is the source file for the micro-content video teaching materials to be published on the GakuNin LMS. This file is used for video conversion via the test-version PtM system (“Presentation to Movie: System for Creating Video Teaching Materials with Synthetic Voice”), and contains auto-read text embedded in the notes section of the PPT. Using PtM, the voice file was extracted as an .m4a audio file and manually synced in video editing software with the high quality 1080p slides of the original PPT file.
This content is a translation of the materials 「オープンサイエンス時代における研究データマネジメント基礎」, which are a revised version of the research data management material 「オープンサイエンス時代における研究データマネジメントの基礎について学ぶ」“Learning the Fundamentals of Research Data Management in the Open Science Era,” originally developed by Osaka University as part of the 「AI等の活用を推進する研究データエコシステム構築事業」“Research Data Ecosystem Development Project to Promote the Utilization of AI and Related Technologies.” The revisions were made through collaboration among Osaka University, Kyushu University, and the Japan Consortium for Open Access Repositories.
