Abstract
In this research article, I have tried to show a reality of Indian society through an analysis of some contemporary Hindi short stories. Caste and gender based exploitation is an inhuman reality of Indian society down ages. In their short stories a lot of Hindi writers expressed their views on Caste and gender based exploitation. They draw attention of Hindi readers to that fact that this kind of inhuman exploitation is still going on in various parts of India. They are trying to make Indian readers aware of this reality through their works.
