Abstract
Destabilization of unstable resistive wall mode (RWM) was studied in cylindrical tokamak plasma with a poloidal rotation. Reduction of the poloidal rotation due to the Maxwell stress occurred in the neighbourhood of resonant surface when resistive wall was closed to the plasma surface. The poloidal rotation remained in the nonlinear phase for a large poloidal rotation case when the resistive wall position was close to the ideal wall stabilization limit.
